Asteroseismic investigations of stellar oscillations historically employ approximate treatments of rotation which fail for stars rotating at significant fractions of their dynamical frequency. As a postdoctoral fellow at the Tsung-Dao Lee Institute and Cornell University, I am working with Professor Dong Lai on projects related to the effects of very rapid rotation on stellar and planetary pulsations.
